1 1/2 c. water

1 c. oatmeal

1/2 c. shortening

2 eggs

2 c. sugar

1 1/2 c. flour

1/2 tsp. salt

1 tsp. baking soda

1/2 c. cocoa

1 tsp. vanilla

QUICK CHOCOLATE FROSTING:

1 c. sugar

2 tbsp chocolate (cocoa)

1/3 c. milk

1/4 tsp. salt

1 tsp. vanilla

1/4 c. butter

Directions

Pour 1 1/2 cup boiling water over 1 cup oatmeal. Let stand whereas mixing remainder of cake.

Combine 1/2 c. shortening, 2 eggs and a pair of c. sugar.

Combine this with oatmeal combination.

Add 1 1/2 c. flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 c. cocoa and 1 tsp. vanilla.

Bake at 350 levels for 35 minutes.

QUICK CHOCOLTE FROSTING: Prepare dinner 1 minute.
